Rates for counseling and coaching are based on type and length of session. Sessions can range from 45 to 110 minutes. Most sessions are typically 45 minutes with the remainder of the hour used for record keeping. There are several packages available for children and teens. Classes and group hours are generally 1 1/2 to 3 hours per session and are determined when the class/group is set. Please call to discuss your best option.
Types of sessions range from psychotherapy sessions, life coaching sessions, EMDR sessions, one-on-one Anger Management education sessions (psychoeducation tutorial sessions), parent coaching/ psychoeducation meetings, consultations, personal or professional coaching sessions, and group sessions.
Discounts for prepaid sessions (cash or check) are as follows: 5% for 3 sessions, 10% for 6 sessions, and 15% for 10 sessions.
Cash, check, and most major credit cards are accepted as forms of payment. Click here to make payments securely online via Paypal.
If you must send a payment in with your child, I ask that you keep a supply of business envelopes handy (in your vehicle’s glove box for example), and remit to me via the child in a sealed envelope. Whenver possible, children should not be involved in the payment process.
Client Policy – Cancellation
If you cannot not make your scheduled therapy appointment, please provide 24 hour advance notice. We understand the need to reschedule on occasion, however if you do not notify us in advance you will be required to pay the cost of the scheduled session. Exceptions include medical emergencies and inclement weather.
I accept a limited number of insurances though most of my clients self-pay for services. Due to threats to client confidentiality and treatment limitations inherent in working directly with insurance companies, self-pay for psychotherapy may be your best option. If you choose to use your insurance, I am happy to support you in this endeavor as an out-of-network provider. In this case, payment is accepted at time of service and I provide a receipt with all of the pertinent insurance information for your reimbursement from your insurance company. Most insurance plans reimburse for services with a licensed individual (LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor, for example). Your out of network cost is typically reimbursed at a rate of 50-80% by the insurance company. Many times your cost is equal to or close to your in network co-pay. Please call your insurance company to verify your coverage and up to date information on deductibles and reimbursement.
Questions to ask your insurance company:
- Do I have mental health/behavioral coverage?
- How many sessions will it cover during the year?
- What is the out-of-network deductable? Has it been met?
- How much will my plan cover for an out-of-network provider? How much will I be reimbursed?
- Do I need a referral from my Primary Care Provider?
