Therapy for Individuals

depressionTherapy for individuals is as unique as the individual’s needs. The following are common issues addressed in individual sessions:

  • Trauma

Individual therapy may be combined with psychoeducation to enable clients to make informed decisions. EMDR might be requested,  recommended or referred. EMDR is a protocol to treat and heal traumas (large and small) and is endorsed by the American Psychiatric Association. Anger Management Training,  either in groups or individual sessions,  may be scheduled if appropriate.

Brain Gym®,  a movement based brain integration program,  helps us develop healthy neural pathways in the brain,  which helps us to relax,  think clearly and learn easily. Brain Gym® can be used for children,  teens,  and adults with attention disorders,  learning disabilities,  hyperactivity,  depression,  and other psychological and learning concerns.
